8th Syngenta Symposium

Welcome to the 8th edition of the SCS-Syngenta Symposium: "AI-Augmented Chemistry".

This year's symposium will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the practice of chemistry. AI-augmented chemistry amplifies human expertise, empowering researchers to navigate infinite chemical spaces, identify non-obvious solutions, and focus their creative energy on where it matters most. Our program highlights these breakthroughs, featuring generative models for small molecule generation, de novo protein design, AI-guided retrosynthesis and cutting-edge machine learning approaches to property prediction. These technical sessions are grounded in real-world examples of how augmented workflows are currently accelerating discovery in both academic and industrial settings.

We look forward to an engaging day of presentations and discussions at the interface of computational intelligence and chemistry. The lunchtime poster session will offer participants an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase recent work, and strengthen the connections between industrial research and academic laboratories.

Poster presenters automatically participate in the Best Presentation Award Program sponsored by the Swiss Chemical Society. The SCS will honor two winners in the category Best Poser Presentation with a certificate and 100CHF cash each.

Join us in Stein on October 22nd to discuss together how AI is reshaping the way we think about and do chemistry.
